It's been some time.

So just what has been going on?
Well, the X-Vario is proving to be a great camera - far better than the initial "raspberries" that were blown at it would suggest.
But the latest news is that I have upgraded my computing setup.
I have replaced the iMac with a Mac Mini and an Eizo CG246 monitor. THe Mini has twice the amount of RAM compared to previously and also a 1Tb Fusion drive - 128Gb of flash drive built in. It is supposed to learn one's habits and keep frequently used software on the flash bit, or so I am told. All-in-all faster, and it certainly seems so.
The old iMac will be sold off in the next week or so, I'm just cleaning up the drive as I write this.
So there we are - you are now up to date with my world, or at least the techie part of it.
Oh and I tried out the new Leica C yesterday. Nice, with some good ideas, but although it can take RAW images the jpegs initially seem to be a little disappointing. I have a feeling that it might require a bit of practice to get the best out of it, which may not be what its target market will do?
